On February 9th, the Club completed a 4-day engagement with Coach Devon Brouse, organizer of the Army Ranger Lead the Way Ladies Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, and James Regan, Chairman and CEO of Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund, sponsors of a separate golf tournament and fundraising event on Monday.

It was an honor to have The Founders Golf Club host these spectacular events.  The ladies tournament concluded with Oklahoma State finishing in first place.  They posted a score of 15 under par.  That team's standout player, Maja Stark’s 3 day individual score was also 15 under par.  Watching this superstar navigate the course was a real treat.  The event's second place was awarded to Ole Miss at 13 under.

Prior to their play on Monday, the Army Ranger Charity golfers were treated to a precision parachute jump, courtesy of the Special Operations Command Team, carrying the US flag.  This flag was presented during the evening events, to James and Mary Regan, in honor of their son's ultimate sacrifice, by Club President Barbara Milligan, Tim Murphy and Coach Devon Brouse.

After a beautiful day of golf, as participants dined, they learned about the US Army Rangers and the Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund, founded by Jim and Mary Regan, to help meet the needs of Rangers disabled in combat, and aid the families of those killed in action.

In addition to presenter and previous Club Member Tim Murphy, attending donors heard heartfelt words from Jim Regan, honoring the 14th anniversary to the day, of his son Sgt. James J. Regan, Army Ranger, killed in combat.  Other honored speakers included 4-Star General Tony Thomas and former Notre Dame Football Coach Lou Holtz.

Thanks to the generous donors, the efforts of the Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund team, the commitment of the Club Membership, the wonderful volunteers (too many to name) of both the Club and community, and the dedication of the Club staff, the Army Ranger Fund was able to raise over $300,000!
