Rob has lived in Sarasota for many years but you will immediately notice his accent, as he hails from Cape Town, South Africa. He has held several positions within the hospitality industry, working at well known establishments such as The Bijou Café and the Resort at Longboat Key Club.
At the Longboat Key Club, Rob initially managed the Pool & Beach department. When he took over, the department was a Trip Advisor nightmare. His ability to unite the staff and increase their level of service through detailed training and encouragement, created more positive reviews than ever before seen at the Hotel. From that position, Rob managed several other departments at Longboat Key Club, then moved on to the Kimpton Hotel Zamora in St. Pete, applying his same motivation and enthusiasm to repeat successes as Director within that hotel.
