Dress Code
The Founders Club Dress Code
It is expected that members and their guests will choose to dress in a fashion befitting the surroundings and atmosphere provided in the setting of The Founders Club. We ask that members dress appropriately as is customary in many traditional clubs.
Golf Course and Practice Facility
- Members are responsible for communicating the Club’s dress code to their family members and guests.
- Soft spikes/Spikeless golf shoes are mandatory.
- Gentlemen:
- Allowed - Clothing worn by players shall be consistent with currently accepted golf fashion. Golf shirts with sleeves, golf turtlenecks or mock turtlenecks, slacks or Bermuda/Golf shorts. Shirt tails should be tucked-in at all times, regardless of shirt style.
- Not Allowed - Tank tops, tee shirts, mesh shirts, sweat pants, warm-up suits not designed for golf, swim wear, cargo shorts, short shorts, cut-offs, gym shorts, blue jean/denim, tennis outfits or other athletic shorts.
- Caps/Hats- Gentlemen are asked to refrain from wearing caps/hats in the Clubhouse dining areas, including the Veranda. Caps/hats are permitted in the Pro Shop. Caps are to be worn only with the brim facing forward.
- Ladies:
- Allowed - Dresses, skirts, slacks, Capris, skorts, Bermuda/Golf shorts, and golf shirts which can be sleeveless.
- Not Allowed - Halter tops, tank tops, tee shirts, cut-offs, sweat pants, warm-up suits not designed for golf, blue jeans/denim, swim wear, tennis dresses, cut-offs, gym shorts, or other athletic shorts.
Golf Hall
- Members are responsible for communicating the Club’s dress code to their family members and guests.
- Shorts and Golf attire, as described above, are permitted in the Grille and Veranda during dinner service.
- Long pants are required for gentlemen in the Main Dining Room after 6:00 PM between November and April. Bermuda/Golf shorts are permitted in the Grille Room and on the Verandah only.
- Appropriately styled jeans befitting the surroundings and atmosphere of The Founders Club & shorts are allowed for lunch and dinner service in the Grille Room and on the Verandah only. Ripped or torn jeans are not allowed.
- Gentlemen should ensure that their shirt tails are tucked-in at all times. However, straight hemmed boxed shirts, such as Tommy Bahama and similarly designed styles are permitted to be worn out in the Clubhouse, but not on the golf course.
- Gentlemen are asked to refrain from wearing hats/caps in the Clubhouse dining areas, including the Verandah. Caps/hats are permitted in the Pro Shop. Caps are to be worn only with the brim facing forward.
- Tennis attire is allowed to be worn for lunch only in the Grille and Verandah.
- Athletic wear is only permitted when transferring to/from the Gym.
